Bob Matheson purchased the first farm in 1965.  At that time he had young dairy cattle in the barn.  Gradually he got a few pigs and eventually had 30 sows from farrow to finish.   In 1978 he expanded that to 100 sows still maintaining the barn as a farrow to finish barn.  With the growing demand for space Bob built small additions on the barn through the years.  In 1998 when his son Scott came home from college Bob expanded to 400 sows.   When his youngest son Ian came home from college in 2004 they built another farrow to finish barn on another property which also houses about 400 sows.
The farm didnt just expand in building size, they purchased land in 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000 and 2002 where they operate about 1000 acres of land growing winter barley, wheat, corn and soybeans.  The farm also offers custom combining and planting as well as a seed business with Syngenta.

Bob and Helen Matheson were married in 1968 and together had 3 boys.
