In the spring of 2019, we purchased the farm where our father had grown up.  We weren't immediately sure if we would last in the dairy industry but committed to continue milking cows for at least a year. In the spring of 2020, we decided if we were to stay in the industry, we needed to commit to a long term investment and construct a new facility.  In February of 2021 we moved from the existing tie-stall barn into a modern robotic milking barn.  With the cows in the new barn with better air, space, and lighting, we are able to provide a better environment where the cows can produce in better health and comfort. We currently milk around 50 cows, with a single GEA automated milking system.
